This course is suitable
for the complete novice and for those with limited knowledge
of Artexing.
Artexing as a decorating medium is less prone to cracking
and is more flexible than plastered ceilings there for
resulting in less stress fractures.
The aim for this course is to show you the correct method
of applying plasterboard to ceilings. We will cover
background preparations and treatments showing you how
to tape and caulk the ceilings, to prime or seal different
surfaces on ceilings and walls ready for the artexing
patterns to be applied.
You will be taught various patterns including stipple,
swirl, broken leather, scroll, broken swirl and many
more.
To produce a rewarding finish you will be taught to
create imaginative borders and ceiling roses achieving
an individual masterpiece every time.
Certification for this course can be used towards NVQ Units
VR01, VR02, VR03, and VR338.
